Dr. Nicholas Sorrel is a trusted member of the ear, nose, and throat specialists team at Southern ENT. He is a board-certified Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon who cares for children and adults with compassion, warmth, and outstanding skills.

A native of New Iberia, Dr. Sorrel achieved his undergraduate degree in biological science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, followed by his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Sorrel advanced his knowledge through residency training at the University of Texas at Houston, at the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. He focused on researching chronic sinusitis treatment, achieving a grant from the American Rhinologic Society. He researched and wrote on minimally invasive skull base surgery and alternative medicine in otolaryngology and sinus disease.

Dr. Sorrel is particularly interested in the comprehensive medical and surgical management of sinus disease, thyroid, parathyroid gland surgery, and pediatric ear, nose, and throat care.

On a personal note, when Dr. Sorrel has free time, he spends it with his wife, April Danielle Sorrel, MD, whom he met while in residency training. He is the co-owner and head coach of Momentum Fitness in Thibodaux and is very active in the field of health, wellness, and fitness, often teaching health seminars across the nation.
