Melissa Bascle FNP-C

Melissa Bascle, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner serving patients in the Houma, Thibodaux and Raceland offices. She believes that every patient, at each encounter, deserves high quality and compassionate care.

She earned both her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from Nicholls State University. She is proud to have been among the first graduating class at NSU to award a master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Before joining Southern ENT in 2015, Melissa worked several years as a nurse primarily in the Pediatric ICU at Ochsner Hospital. Prior to becoming a nurse, she also worked as a registered respiratory therapist for many years caring for patients throughout their lifespan.

She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Xi Theta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and an associate member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

A lifelong resident of Terrebonne parish, Melissa lives in Houma with her husband Matt and their goldendoodle Daisy. She enjoys yoga, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.  She is the proud mom of two young men who have honorably served in the U.S. Navy.
